GMSQP Reference Manual
PC SCREEN
Conclusion
A Partnership and a Practice are, intuitively, the same thing.
However, in NHAIS System terms, when a GP's relationship with a Partnership is
terminated, we have to consider that he is still part of a Practice (and thus part of a
PCO) whilst he still has patients allocated to him within the NHAIS System.
This must be taken into consideration when the Practice to GP relationships are
maintained using the PC screens:

If the PC screen is used to set up a new Practice starting on 01/05/98, and
GP D is not included in the list of GPs belonging to that Practice, then the
patients still assigned to D will not be considered to belong to that Practice
and thus not be considered to belong to the corresponding PCO.

It therefore follows that the GP composition of the Practice should remain
unaltered until the patients registered with D have been re allocated to other
GPs.
