Understanding the Deductions Screen 

Leave Payment

The amount paid must not exceed one fifth of the Basic Practice Allowance.  The 

recovery can be made in any proportion over 4 quarters, but the recoveries must add up 

to the amount paid.  Amounts and date can be updated either manually or automatically 

by running FJ GLEB. 

Voluntary Levy 

If voluntary levy is set to Y then payment processing will deduct voluntary levy from 

this GP's payment. 

Additional Levy 

The additional levy is also known as postgraduate medical centre levy (PGMC), or 

sometimes as local medical committee levy.  If it is set to Y then payment processing 

will deduct PGMC levy from this GP s payment. 

RDC Fund

If Rural Dispensing Compensation Fund is set to Y then payment processing will deduct 

the RDC levy from this GP s payment. 

GPFC Loan 

This

field is used to cross refer to entries on the GF screen.  In the case of an individual 

GP, start and end dates for repayment of a GPFC loan must be entered here.  In the case 

of a partnership, start and end dates for repayment of the loan must be entered on the GB 

screen for one of the partners (usually the senior partner), and also on the GP screen for 

the partnership. 

Health Cen. Costs

This field is used to cross refer to entries on the GF screen where deductions are made.  

Should normally only be input on the GB screen for a single handed (not partnership) 

deduction.
