Administrative Assistants of the Governor 

Article 30 of the present Local Administration Law decrees that the governorate may have 

one or more deputy governors and their appointment is to be made by a Presidential 

Decree.  

There are also two assistants to the governor whose appointment is made by the Prime 

Minister upon the suggestion of the governor. These two assistants are: 

Secretary General in charge of financial and administrative affairs of the 

governorate's headquarters. 

Assistant Secretary General to help the Secretary General and replace him in the 

event of his absence.
