Appendix 1: Configuring Internet Explorer 

If you had selected Internet Explorer for configuration during the ASTRA proxy client installation 

routine, you do not need to configure it manually.  However, Internet Explorer can be configured 

manually at any time by following the instructions below. 

1. Launch Internet Explorer. 

2. To configure Internet Explorer for the Proxy solution, click  Tools  in the menu 

bar and then  Internet Options...  

3. In the  Internet options  dialogue box, click on the Connections page tab, and select the terrestrial 

connection you selected to use with the satellite Broadband service from the list of dial up 

connections. 

4. Click on `Settings `  

5. In the next dialogue box, check the box to `Use automatic configuration script` in the automatic 

configuration group box. In the `address` field enter: 

http://127.0.0.1:2517/www/proxy.pac
