the Mass and the Eucharist from most places on earth, just as the famine of 

the 2010's coincided with the loss of the Mass and the Eucharist from most 

places (in the occupied lands). A similar, but lesser drought also occurs in 

Europe during the worst of the persecution of Christians. 

    Revelation also describes the two prophets as being able pour fire out of 

their mouths to consume their foes (Rev 11:5). This is a figure of speech 

meaning that by their words they can call down fire upon their foes to kill 

them. Fire doesn't actually come out of their mouths, but real fire, along 

with many other afflictions, does kill people at their command. 

    They will also bring many plagues upon the earth by their words. Many 

will die as a result of these plagues. But the main purpose of the two 

prophets is to preach the truth (in opposition to the lies of Antichrist) and to 

convert sinners. They will have much success in preaching truth and in 

gaining conversions to God. 

The Two Prophets Are Killed (Rev 11:7 13) 

    At the end of the 1260 days of their prophesying, the beast from the 

bottomless pit (that is, Satan) will be allowed to attack and kill them. This 

will perhaps be accomplished through Antichrist and his followers. Their 

dead bodies will lie in the streets of Jerusalem,  where their Lord was 

crucified,  for 3  days (Rev 11:8 10). People will  literally rejoice at their 

deaths and exchange gifts, because these two prophets had called down so 

many plagues and afflictions upon the people of the world. 

     But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered 

them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw 

them. Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, `Come up 

hither!' And in the sight of their foes they went up to heaven in a cloud.  

(Rev 11:11 12). 

The End of the Antichrist's Reign 

    After the two prophets go up to Heaven, there will be less than 30 days 

left to the 1290 days. At the end of this time period, the Antichrist attempts a 

fake Ascension to Heaven. He does this because he has lost credibility to his 

claim to be a god. The  two prophets were able to preach against him for 

1260 days. The Antichrist was unable to stop them from preaching and 

unable to kill or imprison them. When finally God allowed their deaths, 

they came to life 3  days later and rose up to Heaven in the sight of the 

whole world. (The wicked of the world suffered such afflictions at the words 

of the two prophets that, when they died, they left their bodies in the streets 

of Jerusalem and images of this were constantly broadcast around the world.
