From the Book of Revelation 163
generations. When they thought to kill the babes of the just, one son having
been exposed and set free, to their disgrace, you took away a multitude of
their sons and destroyed them all together in a mighty water. For that night
was known beforehand by our fathers, so that, knowing the truth of the
oaths in which they had trusted, they might be more peaceful in their souls.
Yet your people received not only the salvation of the just, but also the
destruction of the unjust. (Wisdom 18:1 7)
After the three days of darkness, the Church will be a spiritual light to the
whole world. The faithful will have great success in preaching the Gospel.
Those few impious persons who remain will have no influence over politics
or society or religion. A time of relative peace and holiness is given to the
world, beginning after the three days of darkness. This is the time of the
reign of the great monarch and the angelic shepherd (a holy pope).
Mankind Remains Unrepentant (Rev 9:20 21)
The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not
repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols
of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot either see
or hear or walk; nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or
their immorality or their thefts. (Rev 9:20 21).
Even after such severe punishments from God, some of which are clearly
supernatural, some people refuse to repent. Yet there will be also many
faithful servants of God who have no need of repentance, or who have
already repented of their sins. These include persons with the seal of God on
their foreheads. Notice that not every unrepentant sinner is killed at this
time, since many who survive remain unrepentant.
A Respite Between the Sixth and Seventh Trumpets
The events of the first six trumpets, which are all part of the seventh seal,
occur in about the same time frame. These events begin during or at the end
of the war of the great monarch against the Arab occupation of Europe. The
worst of these events occurs from about A.D. 2038 to 2039. The end of these
punishments comes in late A.D. 2039 or early 2040. There may be short
spaces of time separating the events of the first six trumpets days, weeks,
or even months, but the space of time between the sixth and seventh
trumpets is much longer (about four centuries). This break in the series of
events is indicated in Holy Scripture by the description in chapter 10 of the
angel with the seven thunders.
