severe, a day's wages obtains much more of the basic necessities 

(represented by the three quarts of barley). 

    Also, in biblical times, wheat was the food of wealthier persons and barley 

was the food of poorer persons. Revelation tells us that a day's wage obtains 

three measures of barley, but only one measure of wheat, because this 

famine will be more severe in wealthier countries and less severe in poorer 

countries. This famine is like no other famine the world has ever seen. 

     The Great Famine is predicted by the parable of the Prodigal Son. This 

Great Famine shall occur prior to the return of all of the Protestant 

Churches to unity with the Catholic Church. This is the Great Famine of the 

21st century. It will not end until there is unity among Christians; this 

unification will be completed in 2023. Again, I say, an end to this Great 

Famine cannot be obtained by any means except the repentance, 

conversion, and unification of all the Christian Churches. Prayers for 

repentance and conversion will be granted by God, but even the most 

fervent and devout prayers for merely an end to the famine will not prevent 

the famine from continuing until there is one Church. The Great Famine 

of the 21st century is a punishment from God for sin; it cannot be removed 

by means of science, technology, treaties, money, nor by any other worldly 

means. Only with repentance and conversion shall God's favor return to the 

world. 

The Fourth Seal (Rev 6:7 8) 

     And I saw, and behold, a pale horse, and its rider's name was Death, 

and Hades followed him; and they were given power over a fourth of the 

earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild 

beasts of the earth.  (Rev 6:8). 

    The fourth horseman represents widespread death by various causes. The 

fourth of the earth where this occurs may or may not be the same area of the 

world where the previous scourges occurred. It does not mean that a fourth 

of the people die; it indicates the size or scope of the areas affected by these 

scourges. 

    These sufferings will begin before the Great Famine has ended. In other 

words, the time frame for the sufferings of some of the seals will overlap. 

The events of this seal begin in the 2010's. 

    The first four seals are represented by four horsemen. Why are these four 

seals represented by horsemen and the other seals not? The symbolism of 

four horsemen is used to group the first four seals together. The first four 

seals are all related to the war represented by the first seal.  World  War III 

directly and indirectly brings about many sufferings, including lawlessness, 

famine, and death from a variety of causes.
