Creating Virtual Interface Redundancy
Use this option to create virtual interfaces. The VR must already be established.
Procedure
Step 1
Select Configure > CSS VIP Redundancy.
Step 2
From the TOC, click Virtual Interface Redundancy.
Step 3
Click Add to select two redundant devices from the lists available. Click Next.
Step 4
Select the virtual router. If no VR appears, you must configure your device using
the ip virtual router command. The VR can be created in HSE or see the CSS
Redundancy Configuration Guide at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner
/products/hw/contnetw/ps792/products_configuration_guide_book09186a00801
ee05c.html. Click Next.
Note
The VR ID must match on two CSS devices. For example, if there are VRs
on both devices but no two have common VR IDs, then no VR will be
shown in HSE.
Step 5
Enter the Virtual Interface IP address, then click Next.
