Chapter 5 Configuring Devices
Viewing Provisioned Devices
Field
Description
State
The server state:
OOS The device is out of
service. No new connections are
sent to the server. Connections are
cleared when put back in service.
IS In service
Maintenance Similar to OOS,
but connections to the server are
not cleared when put back in
service.
Sticky The same as
maintenance, but only clients with
sticky associations continue to
receive those connections.
Failed The server is failed by an
external source (for example,
another device notifies the
LocalDirector that an application
is down).
Bind ID
An identification number that enables a
real server to be bound to multiple
virtual servers and report a different
weight for each one.
The bind ID is used only if you are
using Dynamic Feedback Protocol
(DFP).
Auto Unfail
The entry specifies whether to bring a
failed server back in service
immediately if it responds with data on
an existing connection (established
before it was failed by LocalDirector).
Data
The number of connections that are
sent to a real server that is not sending
data.
