Chapter 5      Configuring Devices

Provisioning Overview

Caution

Devices will not display in the configuration tree unless they have been 

discovered. Devices may display in the tree, but you cannot perform any 

provisioning actions on them until their device credentials are entered into the 

Hosting Solution Engine.

Understanding the Configuration Tree Layout

Each of the first three Configure subtabs contain their layout items plus all the 

layout items in the previous subtab. 

The configuration tree appears in the left pane. For information about the icons 

that appear in this window, see the  Understanding the Icons  topic in online help. 

Configure Subtab

Tree Layout Item

Description

Activation

Clear 

Removes all check box 

selections from the tree.

Refresh

Reloads the configuration tree 

with the latest information from 

the database. 

2min, 5min, or 10min

Sets the interval of time for the 

screen to refresh.

Off

Prevents configuration tree 

refresh.

Plus sign (+)

Expands the node to display any 

children.

Minus sign ( )

Collapse the node.
