CSM Configuration Example
This example explains how to add two redundant CSM 3.x modules to the Hosting
Solution Engine. For detailed instructions, see
Managing Device Redundancy,
page 4 37
.
In previous Hosting Solution Engine versions, the XML interface could be
enabled from HSE. This is no longer supported in the current version. You must
configure the XML interface on the CSM.
You must also have redundancy configured between the two CSMs. For
additional information, refer to the CSM 3.1 documentation on Cisco.com.
In this example, the devices each contain a CSM 3.x module. The devices
community string and credentials are the same on both devices.
Procedure
Step 1
Select Devices >Device Management > Device Manager, then click Add to add
your seed devices.
Step 2
Select the device type and enter an IP address in the IP address text box. Then
click Next.
Devices must be entered one at a time. XML must be configured on the device.
