Device Management
Note
The device will be added to the Device Manager table. To refresh the 
Device Manager table and view your changes, click Refresh.

Adding a CSM
Procedure
Step 1
Select Devices >Device Management > Device Manager.
Note
Devices must support IP and SNMP connectivity.
Step 2
Click Add. 
The Add Devices dialog box appears.
Step 3
Select the device type (Cat6K Native IOS or Cat6K Hybrid) and enter a device IP 
address for each device in the IP address field.
The device IP addresses must appear on separate lines. 
Step 4
Click Next. The SNMP Community Strings dialog box appears.

Enter the device community strings and click Next. See

If you are add a Hybrid Catalyst 6000 Series device, go to 
Step 7

The Set Credentials dialog box appears. Enter the device credential information 
and click Next. For details on this dialog box, see 
Entering Device Credentials,

When you add a Cat6K Hybrid device, you will see a second SNMP panel. In the 
first panel you entered SNMP community strings for the CATOS SNMP agent, in 
the second panel you enter the SNMP community string of the MSFC s SNMP 
agent. For a Cat6K Hybrid device, you also need to enter the login credentials as 
well, but you need to enter the MSFC s login credentials, instead of the device 
credentials.
