MESSAGE 

MEANING / ACTION 

this GP does not have a current PMS contract. 

Can t Cancel B2/Abey 

Cannot cancel because a bulk transfer is in progress 

involving this GP, or the GP has patients from a GP in 

Abeyance. 

R STATE not allowed 

Reinstatement is only allowable if the GP is suspended by 

bulk transfer or cancelled. 

R STATE after END 

QUERY message.  If Reinstate, end date should not be in 

the past. 

DEAD MR invalid 

Must be Y or N or space. 

TRANSMIT invalid 

Mandatory field.  Must be T, P or B. 

PAYMENT in process 

The transmission code field must not be amended when 

GP not linked as S/h. 

GP is Linked as S/h 

The GP is single handed and the user has input a 

transmission code of T or B, but the GP is not set up for 

IOS Links. 

STMT vs Non Resp 

Transmission code of T or B not allowed if GP is non 

responsible. 

FNAME differ 

(nnnnnn)

You have entered a GP's national code which is already 

in use. For new GP details with an existing GNC number, 

the first forename differs from that of the stated GP with 

the same GNC code (latest start date).

 is the local GP code for the existing GP 

with the same GP National Code number. 

DOB differ 

(nnnnnn)

You have entered a GP's national code which is already 

in use. For new GP details with an existing GNC number, 

the date of birth differs from that of the stated GP with 

the same GNC code (latest start date).

SEX differ

You have entered a GP's national code which is already 

in use. For new GP details with an existing GNC number, 

the sex differs from that of the stated GP with the same 

GNC code (latest start date).

GP is Linked as S/h 

QUERY message.  The GP is single handed and the user 

has entered a transmission code of P against the GP, but 

the GP is set up for IOS Links.

QUERY message.  The user is trying to amend the 

transmission code on the GD screen, but the GP is
