that, by the new calendar, these dates may be different. Also, the Christian 

calendar will not be in general use in secular society because society will 

have rejected Christian faith and practice. The Islamic calendar will be in 

general use in secular society. At that time, Islam will be more accepted in 

society than Judaism; Christianity will be scorned and rejected. 

    The  half of the week of years  is the last 3  years of that time, when 

Antichrist and his followers bring the most extreme measures against  the 

remaining followers of Christ Jesus on earth. The  victim and sacrifice  

which Antichrist will make cease is the sacrifice of the Holy Mass and the 

continual burnt offering of the continual Real Presence of Jesus Christ, our 

Savior, in the Holy Eucharist. Christ, the victim on the Cross, is present in 

the true Eucharist. Churches and sanctuaries will be overthrown and either 

destroyed or used for false worship. 

    The abomination of desolation refers to a false Eucharist, which shall be 

first set up in some  churches and  holy places at the time that Antichrist 

defeats the king of the South (Israel, the Middle East, northern Africa). The 

abomination is one of the great sins which prepares the way for Antichrist, 

that is why Holy Scripture says,  upon the wing of abominations shall come 

one who makes desolate.  (Dan 9:27, RSV). The abomination (and other 

grave sins) are what bring Antichrist to power. 

    Daniel's prophecy means that the Holy Eucharist will be mostly taken 

away from the Church and replaced with the abomination, a false Eucharist. 

The abomination of desolation begins to be widespread in  A.D. 2430. But 

not until the last half of the Antichrist's reign does the Antichrist lend his 

support to the abomination, and try to do away with the true Mass and the 

true Eucharist, in order to destroy the Church from within. The loss of the 

Mass and the Holy Eucharist, in most places on earth, lasts about 3  years. 

The Holy Eucharist and the Holy Mass are replaced by the abomination and 

its false worship during those 3  years. The abomination does not end until 

the Antichrist is defeated by the true Christ. 

    The power of Antichrist over  nearly the whole world lasts nearly seven 

years (one week of years). The abomination is first set up near the beginning 

of Antichrist's reign. Yet the Holy Eucharist is only taken away for the last 

3  years (the half a week). Thus, there is a space of time, during the first 

part of Antichrist's reign, when the abomination has been set up in a few 

holy places, but the Holy Eucharist is still in other holy places. Some 

Christians will be worshipping God by receiving the True Christ in the Holy 

Eucharist. At the same time, some false Christians will have abandoned 

Christ to give false worship to Antichrist and the devil by means of the 

abomination.
