Grouping Real Services by Physical Servers

Deleting a Service Chassis

Use this feature if you change the subnet of your web servers and must delete the 

service chassis grouping and remove the IP addresses of that group from the 

service chassis tab. The real services are not deleted on the device. They will 

remain in the configuration tree. If you delete an IP address from the service 

chassis, it will reappear only if you discover a new service using that IP address. 

Deleting an SLB device using the Device Manager deletes all its real services. 

However, it will not delete the service chassis associated with these real services.

Your login determines whether you can use this option. 

Procedure

Step 1

Select Configure  > Service Chassis. The service chassis names display in the 

left pane.

Step 2

To see the services that are grouped to the service chassis, click on the plus sign 

(+) next to the service chassis name or IP address. The IP addresses display below 

the chassis name or IP address. Click on the plus sign (+) next to the IP address 

to see the real services.

Step 3

If you want to see the relationships of the services that use the service chassis, 

then select the service in the tree.

Selecting the real services shows the reverse configuration in the right pane. The 

selected real service is displayed in white and any virtual service that is affected 

is displayed in red. 

Step 4

To delete a service chassis, select the check box next to the service chassis name 

then click Delete. A confirmation window appears.

Step 5

Click Delete. Click OK. 

The service chassis grouping is removed from the Service Chassis tree.
