Modifying Discovery

If you use CDP, the Hosting Solution Engine automatically discovers all Cisco, 

CDP enabled devices in your network once a day. However, you can manually 

discover the network at any time and modify the range of this discovery process.

You can:

Perform a manual discovery (see 

Running Device Discovery, page 4 25

).

Verify the discovered devices (see 

Running Device Discovery, page 4 25

).

Description

Telnet User

The Telnet user name.

Telnet Password

The password.

Telnet  Password  Confirm

The same password to confirm that it is 

correct.

HTTPS

Enables HSE to communicate to device 

using special encryption for version 

7.3.0.

Box to Box Redundancy

Field

Description

Device Pair Name

The name of the two redundant devices 

that will appear in the configuration 

tree.

Redundant Management IP

The redundant CSS to which this 

module is paired.
