The following table describes the various search results shown for each domain name.

The query limit for the domain has been reached. Domain Name Pro

The domain name is already registered. You can browse to the web

site for this domain name from the popup menu.

The domain name is registered and expires on the date or number

exp: In N days

of days shown. The expiry information is shown instead of the

"registered" status if the domain names expiry date is within the

number of days configured in the 

search options

. Note: Not all

domain names have expiry date information.

reserved

The domain name is reserved and cannot be registered. Some

domains do not allow registration of generic or common domain

names such as "internet" or "home".

unknown

The domain name search result neither indicated that the domain

name is available or registered. This can be caused by a domain

name server limiting the number of domain name checks in a given

period of time and returning a response to indicate this. See the

 for more details.

skipped

The domain name is too short for this domain. Many domains have

restrictions on their minimum length. For example .info and .biz

domain names must have a minimum of 3 characters.

error

The domain name check failed. This can be caused by a faulty

Internet connection or problems with a particular domain name

server. See the 

FAQ

 for more details.

cancelled

All unchecked domain names are marked as cancelled when the

Stop button is clicked to cancel a search.

trial

During the 30 day limited trial of Domain Name Pro only the .org and

.net domains will show the true domain name information. All other

domains will show the message
